Containment

You may have to use materials at hand and all your McGyvering skills.

Emergency situations may require use of materials-at-hand. Parrots can be captured by almost any late flexible material including towels, sheets, blankets, curtains, clothing. Pillow cases can be used for capture, restaint and transport. Cable ties, bungies, and a few hand tools are useful. Cable-tied t-shirts can offer safe and relatively secure containment for immediate transport. Many household objects can be utilized. You don’t have to be fancy.

Be flexible and creative

Be aware of hazards to the parrot: entanglement, threads, holes, places to catch the head or feet.
